A Service of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church & The Greater
Pleasant Grove Development Corporation
As we continue to face new challenges due to COVID-19, the demand to help families with limited resources is greater than ever. Now in our third year, the Pride for Parents (PFP) Christmas Store supports families in our community by providing affordable toys and gifts during the Christmas season.
The store will operate Saturdays, December 12 and December 19, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
PFP gives parents the opportunity to purchase new gifts for their children at 50% or more off retail prices. Every gift blesses three times: a gift of toys to the children, the joy of being able to buy gifts for their own children for the parents, and a gift towards the ongoing work of the East Wake Leadership Academy after-school and summer camp enrichment programs.

There are several ways that you can help:
1. Refer a Family: Refer qualified members of your family, church, or neighborhood to come and shop at the PFP Christmas store. All toys will be affordable, marked down 50% or more of the retail price. To see registration requirements and to sign up to shop, click here .
2. Give a Toy: Toys are needed for children of all ages (infants through pre-teens). Click on the “toy list” in the above link to see a list of suggested toys. Items can be dropped off at the Carver Center from now through December 13, each Sunday from 11:00 to 12:00 pm. You can also have your items shipped to: Pride for Parents/Carver Center, 948 Morphus Bridge Road, Wendell, NC 27591.
3. Give a Financial Donation: If you don't have the time to shop, you can make a monetary donation and we'll do the shopping for you. To give a donation, click here and choose the GPGDC-Pride for Parents option or click here to give a donation through PayPal. Please note that PayPal donations will automatically go towards the PFP Christmas store and all donations are tax deductible.
4. Volunteer: Our store can't run without the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help check-in shoppers, assist shoppers in the store and pass out cards to waiting shoppers.
Please contact Minister Cynthia Smith at (919) 306-0637 to volunteer.
