Pride For Parents Christmas Store

 The Pride for Parents (PFP) Christmas Store affirms the dignity of parents in our community by helping them provide gifts for their own children at Christmas. At the same time, those parents have a chance to support year-round academic services for their children.

Here's how it works.

In September, we begin collecting new toys for children of all ages. In December -- usually the two weekends before Christmas -- we set up a store on-site with all gifts priced at half of their retail price. Toys include bikes for all-aged students, drones, electronics, tablets, dolls, cars, trucks, and much, much more!

Shoppers must meet certain income limits to ensure that only families with limited resources are helped.

Since we began this outreach three years ago, hundreds of families have been served. Parent responses have been amazing.

One mom shared, 

"We weren't sure what we would do for Christmas this year. We came here because we saw your banner. We didn't know what to expect. 

We got everything we needed. Thank you!".Another said,
"I've never seen anything like this. You have everything here."In the PFP Store, every gift gives three times.

1.) A gift for a child
2.) A parent's joy of buying their own children's Christmas gift
3.) Financial support toward the year-round youth services of the East Wake Leadership Academy.

HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP

REFER A FAMILY. Refer members of your church, family, or neighborhood to shop at the PFP Christmas Store. All

toys are new and sold at thrift store prices!

GIVE A TOY. Give a toy and/or have those at your office, church, school, civic organization or even your family collect toys or financial donations for the store. You may bring or have items shipped to Carver Center/PFP, 948 Morphus Bridge Road, Wendell, NC 27591. 

If you plan to order items from Amazon, please use Amazon Smile

and select Greater Pleasant Grove Development Corporation as your charitable organization to receive

additional funds for PFP.

GIVE A FINANCIAL DONATION. Make a financial contribution in one of three ways.

1.) Go to our website at www.eastwakeserve.com and click Donate. 

2.) Mail your check to GPGDC PO Box 1854, Wendell, NC 27591. 

3.) Bring your donation directly to 948 Morphus Bridge Road, Wendell, NC 27591.

VOLUNTEER. Without the assistance of volunteers, our store would be unable to function. Volunteers are needed to assist shoppers with check-in, assist shoppers throughout the store, and distribute cards to shoppers waiting in line.

EVERY GIFT BLESSES THREE TIMES. For the child, it is the blessing of getting great gifts from their parents. For parents, it is the blessing of being able to give to their children at Christmas.
